Jamie Carragher: 25-year-old isn’t good enough for Arsenal defence
The Liverpool FC legend doesn't believe Shkodran Mustafi is good enough for the Arsenal team

Jamie Carragher has warned Arsene Wenger that Shkodran Mustafi isn’t good enough for the Arsenal defence.
The Gunners signed the Germany international in a £35m deal to bolster their defence in the 2016 summer transfer window.
Mustafi has struggled to find consistency in the Premier League over the past 18 months due to injury problems.
Indeed, the former Everton defender has been in and out of the Gunners team since his big-money move to the north London side.
Mustafi has also shared a centre-half partnership with a number of different players which probably hasn’t helped his cause.
The German produced an erratic performance in Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with defending Premier League champions Chelsea on Wednesday night.
“I don’t think Mustafi is good enough really,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“Koscielny has sort of fallen off a cliff in these last 18 months with his performances. Maybe that’s down to injuries. But you can never be confident with Arsenal defensively.”
Mustafi has scored two goals in 13 games in the Premier League this season.
Arsenal are in sixth place in the Premier League table after conceding 28 times in 22 games in the Premier League this term.
The Gunners have conceded seven times in their last three top-flight outings.
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League last term to miss out on a spot in the Champions League for the first time under Arsene Wenger.
The Gunners are looking to win their first Premier League title since 2003-04.
