Ian Wright: What I really think about new Arsenal signing
The Arsenal legend welcomes the addition of Stephan Lichtsteiner to the Gunners squad in a free transfer from Juventus on Tuesday

Ian Wright has welcomed the addition of Stephan Lichtsteiner to the Arsenal squad.
The Gunners completed a deal to sign the Switzerland international in a free transfer from Serie A giants Juventus on Tuesday evening.
The 34-year-old will bolster Unai Emery’s defensive options ahead of the 2018-19 campaign after the Spanish head coach replaced Arsene Wenger last month.
Arsenal struggled defensively in the 2017-18 season to culminate in a disappointing sixth-placed finish to miss out on Champions League for the second successive season.
Lichtsteiner won the Serie A title seven times and four Coppa Italia crowns during his spell at Juventus to get some vital experience under his belt.
Former Arsenal striker Wright is hoping Lichtsteiner’s experience can be a positive influence on the Arsenal team.
Wright wrote on Twitter: “Welcome Stephan👊🏽. Great business by the club. Loving what’s happening @Arsenal 🔴”
The Gunners lost 3-0 to Premier League champions Manchester City in the League Cup final to miss out on a trophy in Wenger’s final season in charge.
Arsenal signed Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the January transfer window.
The north London side haven’t qualified for the Champions League in the past two seasons after finishing in fifth and sixth place in 2016-17 and 2017-18 under Wenger.
