Unai Emery targets three Arsenal signings this summer – report
Unai Emery wants to bring three new faces to Arsenal in the summer transfer window, say reports
Unai Emery wants to bring three new signings to Arsenal this summer despite the club’s limited transfer budget, according to reports in the Spanish media.
Spanish outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the new man in charge at The Emirates is keen to bring in at least three new players this summer.
Emery was appointed as the north London club’s new manager last month after Arsene Wenger stood down following 22 years in charge.
According to the same story, Emery is keen on bringing Villarreal winger Samu Castillejo, Asier Illarramendi of Real Sociedad and Getafe defender Djene to Arsenal this summer as he looks to revamp his squad.
And that’s despite the fact that Emery knows that Arsenal’s transfer budget this summer is limited.
Emery has been tasked with steering Arsenal back into the Champions League places after the Gunners ended up in sixth place in the table last term and without a trophy.
The north London side have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.
However, Wenger did lead Arsenal to three FA Cup titles in the last four years of his reign at the north London club.
