Arsenal have joined the race to sign Brazilian striker Wesley Moraes from Club Brugge, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that Arsenal manager Unai Emery has been keeping tabs on the 22-year-old striker this season as the January transfer window draws ever nearer.
The same report says that Arsenal are now weighing up a potential £15m move to try and sign the attacker in the new year.
The article also claims that Arsenal are likely to face competition from the likes of Fiorentina and Valencia if they look to try and sign the striker in January.
It is claimed in the same story that Arsenal boss Emery is looking to add more firepower to his squad and bring in fresh competition for the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
The attacker is understood to be under contract with Club Brugge until 2023 – but the same story claims that the club could be tempted to sell if the right offer comes in.
The same story claims that Emery’s priority next year will be to sign a new left-back because Nacho Monreal could leave at the end of the season.
However, it is also suggested that the Gunners could make a move for Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega, who has worked under Emery in the past.
Arsenal will take on Huddersfield Town in the Premier League at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
