Saliba made 13 starts and three substitute appearances in Ligue 1 this season, earning one red card during the domestic campaign.
Former Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy is currently team-mates with the impressive teenager at Saint-Etienne.
The Gunners finished in fifth place in the Premier League table this season to miss out on a spot in the Champions League.
However, Arsenal can still qualify for the Champions League if Unai Emery’s men beat Chelsea FC in the Europa League showpiece next Wednesday.
The Gunners are looking to win Europe’s second tier competition for the first time.
