Arsenal transfers: Arsene Wenger rules out new Luis Suárez approach
Arsenal transfers: Arsene Wenger rules out the Gunners making a renewed effort to sign Luis Suárez in January

Arsene Wenger has ruled out Arsenal making a renewed effort to sign Liverpool striker Luis Suarez in January.
The Gunners are top of the Premier League table but are keen to bolster their attacking options, with Olivier Giroud and Nicklas Bendtner the only recognised strikers in their ranks.

Liverpool rejected two bids from the north London side for Suarez in the summer transfer window, despite the Uruguay international indicating his interest in a switch to The Emirates.
The 26-year-old striker has scored 19 goals in 14 Premier League appearances since returning from a 10-game ban in September, but Wenger insists he won’t rekindle Arsenal’s interest.
“Yes of course. There won’t be any approach, no,” Wenger told his pre-match media conference.
Gunners boss Wenger also defended the lack of depth in his squad, bemoaning Yaya Sanogo’s injury woes.
“At the start we gambled on Sanogo, who has been injured until now and I thought that he could come in for some games and help us, but of course he has not been fit at all,” added Wenger.
“Nobody knows what will happen because Bendtner is coming back in good shape now. Podolski is back, so we have a bit more choice up front.”
