Arsenal transfers: Former Gunners defender Lauren urges the north London side to sign three or four players
Arsenal need to sign three or four new players in the summer transfer window, according to former Gunners defender Lauren.
The north London club have the chance to end their nine-year trophy drought when the Gunners face Hull City in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday.
If Arsene Wenger wants to win the Premier League title and be consistent the whole season in Europe, they need a number of new players
Arsenal saw their title bid come to a stuttering end in the final months of the season as their squad was stretched to the limit with injuries to Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere and Mesut Ozil.
But the former Cameroon international reckons Arsene Wenger need to improve his squad in the summer if the Gunners want to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
“Arsenal need three or four new players,” Lauren told TalkSport. “I’m not saying the team isn’t good enough, but to be consistent for the whole season we need some reinforcements.
“We have a very good starting XI but to be consistent, and to win the whole year though, they need three or four players.
“The first team are fine but you can’t play the whole season with the same eleven players.
