Arsenal transfers: Barcelona’s Cesc Fàbregas tight-lipped on future
Arsenal transfers: Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fàbregas is remaining tight-lipped about a possible to return to the Gunners

Cesc Fàbregas insists he is the only person who knows where his future lies amid mounting speculation that the Barcelona midfielder could make an emotional return to Arsenal.
The 25-year-old was unable to help Barça overturn a 4-0 first-leg deficit against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday as the La Liga leaders slumped to an emphatic 7-0 aggregate semi-final defeat.
It capped what has been a disappointing season for Fàbregas, with the former Gunners captain having to settle for a bit-part role in Tito Vilanova’s side and completing 90 minutes on just 14 occasions from 34 starts.
Fàbregas, who completed a long-drawn-out £35m move to Barça in 2011, has been linked with a return to Arsenal after spending eight years at the north London side before his Camp Nou switch.
But the Spain international refused to comment on reports linking him with an Arsenal return, insisting that only he knows where his long-term future lies.
“I do not know what is being said and even what is written,” said Fàbregas.
“I can only say that I alone know my own future.”
Fàbregas scored 57 goals in 303 appearances for the Gunners before returning to his boyhood club in 2011.
