Arsenal transfers: Carlos Vela hints at return to Emirates Stadium

Carlos Vela has hinted that he could be set to return to Arsenal this summer by refusing to rule out a move back to the north London club.

The 25-year-old striker scored 16 goals and made 12 assists in 37 La Liga appearances this season after joining Real Sociedad from the Gunners on a permanent basis back in 2012.

We will decide what will be my future, it is all about finding the best way to be happy

The Gunners are understood to have placed a buy-back clause in Vela’s contract in the region of £3.3m, and the forward has suggested that he could be set to return to Emirates Stadium this summer.

“If I have to return, I will do things in a different way,” Vela said. “What happened in the past will not be repeated.”

“We will try and reach an agreement in which we all win – Real, Arsenal and me. We must see what can be done.

“We will decide what will be my future, it is all about finding the best way to be happy.”
