Arsenal transfers: Everyone can see what’s needed, says Davis
Arsenal transfers: Ex-Gunners midfielder Paul Davis believes Arsene Wenger is already under intense pressure after loss

Paul Davis believes Arsene Wenger is already under intense pressure following Arsenal’s shock 3-1 defeat by Aston Villa on Saturday.
The Gunners have so far only signed 20-year-old French striker Yaya Sanogo this summer despite being linked with a host of top names, including Luis Suárez and Wayne Rooney.
Arsenal fans made their discontent at their club’s summer dealings known at the final whistle at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
And former Gunners midfielder Davis is desperate for the north Londoners to bring in reinforcements before the close of the current transfer window.
“It’s about time for [Wenger] to strengthen the squad and getting the team back up there, where all Arsenal fans want them to be, challenging for first spot, not fourth spot,” Davis told talkSPORT.
“I can totally understand the frustration of the fans. I’m a fan myself, I was there yesterday [at the Aston Villa game] and go to all the home games, so I can feel the frustration building up over time.
“This has been going on over the last five or six summers, no major signings have come into the club. Everyone can see that is what’s needed, but the club haven’t gone ahead and done that.”
