Arsenal transfers: Jackson Martinez admits he would jump at the chance to move to the north London club

Jackson Martinez has fuelled speculation linking the Porto striker with a transfer to Arsenal by admitting that he used to support the Gunners as a child.
Much has been made of Arsenal’s lack of options up front following injuries to first-choice strikers Olivier Giroud and Nicklas Bendtner.

The Colombia international is one of the most recent names to be linked with a January switch to Emirates Stadium.
And the 27-year-old forward has now revealed that he is a keen admirer of the north London club’s style of play.
“I cheered for Arsenal when I was a kid – I love their style of play,” Martinez is quoted as saying by Metro.
“It’s flowing and open with a lot of first touch passes. It would be suitable for a player like me.
“If I get a chance to play for a high level club like Arsenal I wouldn’t hesitate to accept it.”
Martinez has been in stunning form for Porto this season, scoring 12 goals in just 14 league games, as well as notching up two strikes in the Champions League.
