The 20-year-old Costa Rica international, who scored in the World Cup win over Uruguay in Brazil, has yet to play for the Gunners following his move to the club in 2011 after loan spells at Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiacos.
However, the striker says he is ready to return to the north London club ahead of the 2014-15 campaign.
“I believe I’ll be returning to Arsenal for next season,” Campbell is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.
He continued: “It’s been a beautiful World Cup for Costa Rica. It’s gone very well. Qualifying first in a very difficult group is important, but now we have to focus on the last 16.
“We weren’t concerned about who we got drawn against in the first round, we were simply pleased to be there, but now we are determined to go further.”
