Arsenal transfers: Don’t be put off by my price tag, says Napoli’s Cavani
Arsenal transfers: Edinson Cavani says he is happy at Napoli, but urges potential suitors not to be put off by the striker's hefty price tag

Edinson Cavani believes potential suitors should not be put off by Napoli striker’s hefty price tag amid reports linking the Uruguayan with a move to Arsenal and Manchester City.
The 25-year-old has scored 18 goals in 19 Serie A appearances this term, attracting interest from a host of Europe’s top clubs, including the Gunners.
But the striker has a release clause of £54m in his contract, with Napoli hoping to deter any clubs from pursuing the South American.
“If a club has a clear project and they want to focus on me, they can’t be frightened in front of this figure,” he said.
He added: “I am happy here. Napoli have given me a lot and I am trying to repay them. We’ll talk about it.”
Meanwhile, Cavani is confident Napoli can pip Juventus to the title after the former Palermo forward scored a late winner to help his side beat Parma at the weekend, as the Turin outfit drew with Genoa.
“We have a big chance [to win the title] and we cannot ignore that,” he said. “The numbers show that the Scudetto is within our reach.
“We can go all the way and we will do our utmost to make it happen. Even more so than Juventus, we are very hungry for success, just like they were last term.
“We are incredibly motivated. The team is focused on the task at hand and we want to make this dream come true. We are showing that we have the determination to win the title.
“It all depends on ourselves now. We will have to realise that nothing is impossible for us.”
