Arsenal transfers: ‘Signing a special new striker is a necessity’
Arsenal transfers: Tony Cascarino says Gunners must sign a new striker this month to have any hope of winning the title

Tony Cascarino feels that Arsenal must sign a new striker in the January transfer window to have any hope of winning the Premier League this season.
The Gunners are currently a point clear at the top of the table following a 2-0 win over Cardiff City at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.
It’s a necessity. It’s something they must do

First-choice forwards Olivier Giroud and Nicklas Bendtner have both picked up injuries in recent games – and ex-Chelsea man Cascarino says the north Londoners must bolster their attacking options this month.
“I personally don’t think Lukas Podolski is the solution as a centre forward,” Cascarino told talkSPORT. “He’s better off the line.
“Theo Walcott can play that role better but if they’ve got any aspirations about winning the Premier League they are going to have to get a striker.
“I know Arsene Wenger is talking about it being a particular striker, a very special player.
“I think they need to move heaven and earth to get that particular player because they’ve got a chance of winning something this year that they haven’t got near to winning over the last five years.
“It’s a necessity. It’s something they must do.”
