Arsenal transfers: Sime Vrsaljko is not for sale, says Genoa boss
Arsenal transfers: Genoa manager Gian Piero Gasperini insists Sime Vrsaljko is not for sale in the January transfer window

Arsenal target Sime Vrsaljko won’t be going anywhere in the January transfer window, according to Genoa manager Gian Piero Gasperini.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Croatia international in recent months as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his defensive options at The Emirates.
The 21-year-old, who moved from Dinamo Zagreb to Genoa in the summer, has been one of the Serie A outfit’s standout performers, making one assist in six appearances.
However, Genoa manager Gasperini has reiterated the club’s desire to keep the up-and-coming defender beyond January.
“They want him, but this January? We need all of our players available. It is important everyone stays together,” Gasperini told Sky Sports
News.
In the summer, Vrsaljko revealed he moved to Genoa ahead of other interested parties in order to help improve his game.
He told Il Secolo XIX: “I came to Genoa because the club give youth a chance.
“If I’d joined a big club I probably wouldn’t have had much playing time. This is a good team. There are young, talented players who are ambitious like me.”
