Arsenal will fight on all fronts this year, says Arsene Wenger

Arsene Wenger believes Arsenal will challenge on all fronts this season as the gunners look to end their six-year trophy drought.
The Frenchman, who recently signed a new contract with the north London club, said at Thursday afternoon’s AGM: “We will go for every single competition this season with every resource we have and we will give absolutely everything.”
“It will be a huge achievement for me to make you happy, hopefully for this season and seasons to come.
“I see a real opportunity to have great achievements this season; we have the spirit, talent, hunger and desire.”
Wenger added: “We are fans, we love the club, we want to get higher than last year. The only way we can do this is to trust the players and get behind them.
“They have great potential, but we live in a very fragile business, where it is very difficult to be consistent.”
Referring to possible signings in January, Wenger said: “We have resources available to bring one or two players in if needed in January.
“But you have seen when you look at the other clubs it’s fragile everywhere and they are in a situation where the players want to be at the top level.
“We had some players going out in the summer and we have decided to give confidence to the young players at the Club. Why? Because they have a special culture of playing the game and can integrate very quickly.
“We brought Squillaci, Koscielny and Chamakh and all of them have integrated very well into the spirit of the squad. I think they will be great additions to the team. They are winners, they don’t talk too much and they work very hard. So I believe in the transfer market we have done quite well.
“We made it our aim to keep our group of players together because I feel they meet their needs here. They know they are close to something special. They want to do it and that’s the challenge we have in front of us.”
The Arsenal manager also boldly stated he believes skipper Cesc Fabregas will stay at the Emirates Stadium next season and beyond.
“I am confident we will keepFabregas for a few more years,” added Wenger.
Wenger is now preparing his side for a trip to Eastlands to face title rivals Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
