Michael Owen states his prediction for Arsenal v Chelsea
The retired striker is backing Premier League champions Chelsea to beat Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday afternoon
Michael Owen believes Chelsea will have too much pace and power for Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.
The west London side won the Premier League title with two games to spare after Chelsea were 1-0 winners against West Brom at the Hawthorns Stadium.
The Blues booked their place in the FA Cup final after Chelsea were 4-2 winners against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley last month.
Arsenal are looking to win the competition for the third time in four seasons after beating Aston Villa and Hull City in their recent triumphs.
The north London side finished in fifth place in the Premier League table this season after a disappointing campaign.
Speaking to Bet Victor about the FA Cup final at Wembley, former Manchester United striker Owen backed Chelsea to beat Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.
“Hazard and Costa will be back in the starting XI on Saturday and I expect the Blues pace, power and flair to be too much for an Arsenal side weakened defensively through injury and suspension.
“This will be Arsene Wenger’s 57th and potentially final game against Chelsea as Arsenal boss.
“He has currently won as many as he lost (W21 D 14 L21) but I expect Blue to be the colour at Wembley and for Chelsea to do the domestic double and cap a remarkable first season in charge at Stamford Bridge for the excellent Conte.”
Chelsea haven’t won the FA Cup since beating Liverpool at Wembley in 2012.
Arsenal haven’t lifted the Premier League trophy since 2003-04.
