Thierry Henry reacts to Hector Bellerin’s display in Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Man City
Thierry Henry was not impressed by Hector Bellerin's display for Arsenal in their 2-2 draw with Manchester City on Sunday

Thierry Henry was less than impressed by Hector Bellerin’s first-half performance for Arsenal during Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City at The Emirates.
The Spanish right-back was caught out for the visitors’ opener in north London as he allowed Leroy Sane to break past the home defence and finish confidently past David Ospina.
Arsenal managed to gain a foothold in the first half when Theo Walcott slotted home from close range.
But the visitors were soon in front again when Sergio Aguero capitalised on some sloppy Arsenal defending to put Pep Guardiola’s men 2-1 up.
Shkodran Mustafi then headed home another equaliser for Arsene Wenger’s side from a corner shortly after half-time.
“We keep on talking about the speed of Bellerin and how fast he is, but you have to be faster with your brain than your legs,” said Arsenal legend Henry, speaking during Sky Sports‘ coverage of the game.
“You cannot allow Sane to be inside you. He tried to rely too much on his speed to recover from his mistake. You cannot allow the winger to be inside like that. It’s not possible.
“You cannot think that you’re going to always recover with your speed. You have to be faster with your brain. It is shocking defending for me.”
Arsenal return to Premier League action when they host West Ham United at The Emirates on Wednesday night.
