Paul Merson states his prediction for Arsenal v Watford
Paul Merson believes Arsenal will beat Watford at The Emirates despite their poor domestic performances in recent weeks

Paul Merson is hoping that Arsenal have enough to get past Watford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners have lost four of their last five Premier League games to see their top-four challenge evaporate.
Arsenal have lost to Brighton and Hove Albion, Manchester City, Swansea City and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League over the past two months.
The north London side have an abysmal record on the road following a return of three victories in their 15 away games in the Premier League.
Arsenal are 13 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur to make qualification for the Champions League through the Premier League highly unlikely.
Former Gunners star Merson is backing the north London side to ease to a 2-0 win over Watford at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
“Arsenal have got to beat Watford. Surely. Surely. If they don’t, I don’t even want to think about it,” Merson told Sky Sports.
“I’m not saying they’ll win bullishly, I’m saying it with more hope than anything. They’re struggling, their confidence is low.
“Watford are out of the relegation zone, they’ve had a good couple of results, but Arsenal should have enough to get past them.”
Arsenal haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04 when Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira were in their pomp.
The Gunners were 2-0 winners against Serie A giants AC Milan in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 clash at the San Siro on Thursday night.
Arsenal can qualify for the Champions League if the Gunners win the Europa League.
The north London side signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in January.
