Gary Lineker reacts to Arsenal’s 2-1 loss to Watford
Gary Lineker takes to social media to react to Arsenal's 2-1 loss to Watford in the Premier League on Saturday evening

Gary Lineker took to social media to react to Arsenal’s 2-1 loss to Watford after the Gunners squandered the lead at Vicarage Road.
Arsenal dominated the game in the first half and the Gunners took the lead in the 39th minute when Per Mertesacker headed home Granit Xhaka’s corner.
However, Watford improved after the break and Troy Deeney levelled from the penalty spot in the 71st minute after Richarlison was brought down by Hector Bellerin in the box.
And Tom Cleverly smashed home a winner for the home side in the second minute of stoppage time to cap a famous win for Watford and move them up to fourth place in the table.
England legend Lineker was clearly keeping a close eye on proceedings and he took to Twitter when Arsenal took the lead, writing: “Arsenal take the lead at Watford as Per.”
And Lineker then added when Watford scored the winner: “Cleverley does it for Watford.”
The result leaves Arsenal in sixth place in the Premier League table and nine points behind leaders Manchester City after eight games of the new campaign.
Arsenal have not won the title since the 2003-04 campaign and finished fifth in the table last term.
