Emery makes confident Aubameyang prediction ahead of Arsenal v West Ham
The Arsenal manager is confident Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will score against West Ham United on Saturday

Unai Emery believes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will score in Arsenal’s home clash against West Ham United at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners have lost their opening two Premier League games to make an unconvincing start to their reign under the Spanish head coach.
The Arsenal record signing failed to get on the score sheet after the north London outfit lost 2-0 to defending Premier League champions Manchester City at The Emirates.
The Gunners succumbed to a 3-2 defeat by Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge last weekend after the Gabon international missed a number of chances to score for Arsenal.
Aubameyang netted 10 goals in 14 games in the 2017-18 season following a £57m move to Arsenal from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund back in the January transfer window.
Speaking at pre-match media conference ahead of Arsenal’s home clash against West Ham United, Emery backed Aubameyang to get on the score sheet on Saturday afternoon.
“The first is to create chances, situations and attacking moments where the player arrive in the box and with the balance to use the small space the opposition gives us,” Emery said.
“And then, I am sure they are going to score if we create a lot of chances in the game. The first idea for us on Saturday is to create these chances and then the players’ confidence for starting to arrive in the box, to score.
“Maybe the players can not score three good chances in one match and on another day, I am sure they are going to do maybe the same chances in one match and score three. For that, Aubameyang is a player who, in his career, has scored a lot and he is going to do that here also.”
Arsenal finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season after the Gunners missed out on the Champions League in successive campaigns.
The north London side haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04 when the Gunners finished the season unbeaten.
Arsenal signed five players in the summer transfer window.
