Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger delivers an injury update on Gunners midfielder Aaron Ramsey after he picked up a thigh injury

Arsene Wenger expects Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey to miss the remainder of the Christmas period after picking up a thigh injury on Boxing Day.
The Wales international was withdrawn midway through the second half of the north London side’s 3-1 victory over West Ham United at Upton Park.
Wenger revealed that the 23-year-old, who has scored eight goals this term, appears to have suffered a “serious” thigh injury, ruining the midfielder’s birthday celebrations.

“It looks [serious],” Wenger told his post-match media conference.
“It looks like a thigh strain. I don’t know how serious the thigh strain is but the Christmas period certainly is over for him.
“It was his birthday today.”
Asked how long the Arsenal manager expected the Gunners to be without Ramsey, Wenger said: “I don’t know how long. We will see tomorrow morning.”
On Ramsey’s gestures to the bench when picking up the injury, Wenger added: He knew straight away but we have to see.”
Ramsey has been one of Arsenal’s standout performers this season, scoring eight goals and making six assists in 18 Premier League appearances.
