Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere says Gedion Zelalem is always willing to learn from his superiors at The Emirates

Jack Wilshere has hailed Gedion Zelalem’s willingness to learn as the Arsenal midfielder talked up the highly-rated German youngster.
17-year-old Zelalem is one of the brightest prospects coming through at the north London side and made his first-team debut in a 4-0 victory over Coventry City in the FA Cup in January.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger handed Germany Under-21 international Zelalem the chance to impress in Arsenal’s pre-season friendlies against New York Red Bulls and Boreham Wood.
And Wilshere, who was part of England’s World Cup squad, spoke about the respect that the teenage midfielder shows the senior members of the squad despite his “natural ability”.
“He’s a great kid and that’s the main thing,” Wilshere said. “He’s willing to learn, he’s willing to listen, he’s respectful and he looks up to us.
“He always asks questions about what he should be doing. The main thing is his ability – that’s the key thing with him.
“He’s got so much ability and he can go where he wants. Maybe he needs to get a little bit stronger but his ability will take him through.
“Gedion’s got so much natural ability and the right attitude towards the game. Naturally he’s going to become stronger and he’s training with great players.”
