Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere: Mesut Ozil can fill Cesc Fabregas void
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere believes Mesut Ozil can finally fill Cesc Fabregas's void at the Gunners

Jack Wilshere believes Arsenal’s club-record signing Mesut Ozil is finally filling the void left by Cesc Fabregas.
The Germany international has scored three goals and made six assists for the Gunners after completing a club-record £42.5m move to The Emirates from Real Madrid in the summer.
Former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas sealed a long-awaited return to Barcelona in August 2011, but Arsene Wenger failed to adequately replace the Spain international.
And Wilshere, who scored twice in a 2-0 victory over Marseille on Tuesday, admits he was upset by his former team-mate’s £35m move to the La Liga champions.
“The one I was really upset about leaving was Fabregas, I learned so much from just watching him,” Wilshere told Arsenal’s website. “He’s similar to me starting at a young age.
“I was the most upset about him leaving. But to arrive I’m excited about Ozil, he’s settled in nicely.
“His first game away at Sunderland he got an assist and was man of the match.
“He plays the Arsenal way and I think there’s a lot more to come.
“He’s so comfortable on the ball, right foot, left foot.
“If you look at his stats he runs the most, he makes it look easy but that only masks how hard he works.”
