Arsene Wenger: Arsenal have learnt lessons from Man United loss
Arsene Wenger insists Arsenal have learnt lessons from their defeat at Old Trafford as they gear up for a trip to Manchester City

Arsene Wenger insists Arsenal have learnt key lessons from their defeat at Manchester United as they gear up for a trip to Manchester City on Saturday.
The Gunners were beaten 1-0 by the defending champions in November as Robin van Persie’s first-half header handed David Moyes’ men all three points.
Wenger felt that his side were slow out of the blocks at Old Trafford and wants his team to come out all guns blazing at The Etihad as they look for a win which would move them eight points clear at the top of the table.
“What we can learn from Old Trafford is that it took us one half to be completely ourselves,” said Wenger.
“I think we have learned from that and we will go into the game [at City] on full cylinders.
“I believe first of all that you need a strong defensive performance and maybe the best way to do that is to attack and [keep] the ball and not let them find their flow.
“We have an opportunity to make the difference with everybody else [on Saturday] morning, as we play first.
“We have an opportunity to go from five to to eight [points clear] and that’s fantastic. We have to look at it like that.”
