Mesut Ozil is likely to be available for Arsenal’s clash with Norwich City at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, Arsene Wenger has revealed.

There were concerns over the 25-year-old’s fitness after he was substituted late on in Germany’s 5-3 victory over Sweden on Tuesday night with a minor knee complaint.

However, Wenger is hopeful that Arsenal will have their club-record signing available for the visit of the Canaries.

“He is alright,” Wenger told Arsenal’s website. “He came back with a knock on the knee but it was just a kick.

“We’ll have a test tomorrow [Friday] to see if he is fit enough for Saturday or not. When you have not played, there is always a little doubt but not a major one.”

Wenger, whose high-flying side are top of the Premier League table, also revealed the both Bacary Sagna (hamstring) and Santi Cazorla (ankle) are close to being fully fit after injury lay-offs.

“Sagna is 80 per cent fit and he will have a test,” he continued.

“Cazorla is available in training but he is not match-fit. It is just about competitiveness with him. There is a possibility both are in the squad for Saturday. I have not decided whether they will start or not.”

Asked about Tomas Rosicky and Theo Walcott, Wenger concluded: “Rosicky is back in the squad and available. Walcott is still two weeks away.”
