Iker Casillas confident Ashley Cole will join Real Madrid

Iker Casillas is confident Chelsea left back Ashley Cole will join Real Madrid this summer.
Cole, 29, has been linked with a £30 million transfer to La Liga club and the Spanish goalkeeper has revealed the move is looking increasingly likely.
“From what I am hearing the signs look good,” Casillas told the Sun.
“I have only briefly spoken to people at the club, but I am confident that he can be a Real Madrid player next year.”
The La Liga runners-up have been linked with numerous players from the Premier League since Jose Mourinho replaced Manuel Pelligrini at the Bernabeu. Cole played under the Portuguese coach for just over one season at Stamford Bridge.
And Casillas believes that a switch to La Liga would benefit Cole’s career.
“I think it will be the right move for him both professionally and personally,” said 29-year-old.
Fresh from captaining Spain to World Cup glory, Casillas thinks the chance to work with Mourinho again may also persuade the England international to join Real.
He added: “A clean break from England is hopefully something he is very interested in.
“It will be his last big contract and who better to sign for than his old coach Mourinho at Real. He will know better than anybody this club will be successful under Jose.
“With Ashley he doesn’t need to do that because he’s already the best left-back in the world.
“Jose knows all about him and it comes as no surprise to me he is very much on Madrid’s radar.”
