Australian Open 2014: Tomas Berdych reveals his delight at reaching the semis for the first time after beating David Ferrer

Tomas Berdych could not hide his delight after booking his place in the Australian Open semi-finals thanks to a four-set win over third seed David Ferrer.
The Czech broke Ferrer five times, firing 10 aces and 43 winners as he wrapped up victory three hours and four minutes.
Whatever is going to happen on court, I need to be ready for it

“It feels great. It’s really a great feeling,” said Berdych, who will face Stanislas Wawrinka in his first-ever semi-final in Melbourne after the Swiss stunned defending champion Novak Djokovic.
“There were some special moments which went well together in this match: making it for the first time here in the Aussie Open to the semis, winning my first match on Rod Laver after all those years. I’m extremely happy to go through.”
Berdych, who became the first Czech to reach the last four in Melbourne since Jiri Novak in 2002, continued: “I’m feeling really good. It’s been going really well this 10 days. If it’s enough for Stan, let’s see.
“I need to rest, prepare and to have the same approach as I did in those past matches, really believe in myself and believe in my game. Whatever is going to happen on court, I need to be ready for it.”
