BBC reporter reveals Arsenal close to agreeing club-record fee for second summer signing
David Ornstein claims that Arsenal are on the verge of agreeing a deal to sign France and Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette

Arsenal have made a club-record offer to sign France international Alexandre Lacazette in the summer transfer window, according to David Ornstein.
The BBC reporter has taken to Twitter to reveal that Arsenal have made a club-record offer to sign 26-year-old centre-forward in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Ornstein goes on to claim that Arsenal are very close to reaching an agreement with Ligue 1 side Lyon over the centre-forward’s proposed move to the north London club.
The journalist added that negotiations are continuing but Arsenal are expected to exceed the £42.5m that the Gunners spent on Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil in 2013.
Ornstein wrote on his Twitter page: “Arsenal are close to agreeing a deal to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette. Negotiations continuing, expected to be club record fee #AFC”
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a place in the Champions League for the first time under French head coach Arsene Wenger.
The Gunners did win the FA Cup crown for the third time in four seasons thanks to a 2-1 win against Premier League title champions Chelsea at Wembley.
