Paul Scholes reacts to Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s display in Benfica v Man United
Paul Scholes hits out at Henrikh Mkhitaryan after his display for Man United against Benfica on Wednesday night

Paul Scholes criticised Henrikh Mkhitaryan for his performance during Manchester United’s routine 1-0 victory over Benfica in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Armenian playmaker featured for the whole 90 minutes in Portugal before he was subbed off late on.
It was not the most enthralling game but the Red Devils managed to get the job done and continue their unbeaten start to the Champions League season, with Marcus Rashford’s long-range free-kick breaking the deadlock in the 64th minute.
Mkhitaryan failed to make much of an impact on the game and Scholes was not particularly impressed by his performance.
Speaking on BT Sport after the game, Scholes said: “The play wasn’t good enough, Mkhitaryan wasn’t good enough but they got the points and moved forward, that is important.”
Mkhitaryan has scored two goals and made five assists in all competitions for Manchester United so far this season.
Manchester United will now aim to get back to winning ways in the Premier League when they take on Huddersfield away from home on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils were held to a goalless draw by Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday to leave them second in the table and two points behind leaders Manchester City.
Jose Mourinho is aiming to become the first manager to lead the Red Devils to the title since Sir Alex Ferguson’s final campaign in charge in 2013.
