Prediction: Pacquiao to beat Marquez by late technical knockout

On Saturday night in Las Vegas, Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez fight each other for the third time. Their first bout was a draw and Pacquiao scrapped a split decision in the rematch. However, this time the contest is sure to end with one winning emphatically. Pacquiao has progressed through the weight divisions much more successfully than Marquez, and at welterweight there is no doubt which is superior. The Filipino icon will have too much punching power, movement and durability for Marquez. Expect to see Pacquiao land hurtful shots from the first round against the Mexican legend, and dominate the fight more and more with every round. Marquez will produce a noble display, much like when he battled Floyd Mayweather Jr, but against the explosive and attack minded Pacquiao, the Mexico City native will not hear the final bell.

Prediction: Fury to beat Pajkic by late technical knockout

The popular and much publicised heavyweight Tyson Fury fights against undefeated Canadian Neven Pajkic on Saturday night in Manchester. Fury is the strong favourite in this match, partly because his opponent, the Canadian heavyweight champion, is an unknown outside of his home nation. But also because Fury is better. At 6ft9 and 250 pounds, the Manchester native is a massive man and is starting to look the part as a heavyweight now that he is in better shape and training hard. Behind a strong jab and decent footwork, Fury will keep his opponent guessing while looking for an opening. Later in the bout when Pajkic begins to get frustrated by his inability to apply significant pressure, Fury will land some powerful punches and drop the Canadian. Pajkic may be sent to the canvas a few times as he is a tough competitor and will not give up – but the referee will eventually call off the fight and Fury will be victorious.
