Brendan Rodgers has promised Liverpool fans that his side will not give up their fight for the Premier League title, despite Monday’s collapse at Crystal Palace.

Rodgers’ side squandered a three-goal lead to draw 3-3 at Selhurst Park and leave Manchester City needing three points from their remaining two games to be crowned champions.

I promise for the time I am here we will fight for our lives

However, with Liverpool sitting a point clear at the top of the Premier League table, the Northern Irishman has urged Reds fans not to give up hope of winning the title.

“This season the players have allowed the supporters to dream and for a club of this size and magnitude, to be a point ahead at the top of the table with a week to go, you never know what can happen – it has been magnificent,” said Rodgers.

“I promise for the time I am here we will fight for our lives and we won’t finish until Newcastle.”
