Michael Owen states his prediction for Brighton v Man United
The Liverpool FC legend believes Manchester United will edge to a narrow 1-0 win over Brighton

Michael Owen is backing Manchester United to ease to a narrow 1-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils made the perfect start to the Premier League season with a goal inside two minutes of their opening fixture last week.
Stand-in captain Paul Pogba broke the deadlock from the penalty spot before Luke Shaw scored a late goal to seal a 2-1 win over Leicester City at Old Trafford.
Jose Mourinho’s side are in seventh place in the Premier League table after top four rivals Liverpool FC and Chelsea FC secure opening day victories by larger margins.
Brighton, on the other hand, lost 2-0 to Watford at Vicarage Road to make a disappointing start to the campaign despite Chris Hughton’s busy summer of transfer activity.
The Seagulls were 1-0 winners against Manchester United in their last Premier League meeting back in May, although the Red Devils eased to victories at Old Trafford in the league and the FA Cup.
Former Liverpool FC striker Owen believes Manchester United will edge to narrow win against Brighton in the second Premier League fixture at the Amex Stadium on Sunday.
“Brighton have invested heavily in the summer, but they failed to have a single shot on target at Vicarage Road in their 2-0 defeat to Watford on Saturday,” Owen told BetVictor. “Chris Hughton will be looking for a positive reaction from his side when United visit the Amex at the weekend.”
He added: “A Paul Pogba-inspired United got the start they needed against Leicester last Friday and I feel they will again get a result on the south coast, although I don’t expect to see many goals.”
Manchester United signed Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant this summer.
