Burnley 1 Chelsea 3: John Terry challenges the Blues to improve their away form after an opening win at Turf Moor
John Terry warned Chelsea that they must improve their away form to achieve their target of winning the title after an opening win against Burnley.
The newly-promoted side took a surprise 11th-minute lead thanks to Scott Arfield’s strike before Chelsea reversed the score line in a quick-fire four minutes at Turf Moor.

£32m arrival Diego Costa was alert to slot a loose ball past Tom Heaton before Andre Schurrle capped a 25-pass move to put the Blues ahead against Burnley.
The Blues sealed three points before half-time after right-back Branislav Ivanovic netted from close range from a Fabregas corner.
“We knew it was going to be very difficult at Burnley. But I thought the football we played first half and second half, some of the movement for the goals, it was different class,” Terry told Sky Sports.
“Cesc was pick of the bunch. It was a tough game but we saw it out second half.”
On Jose Mourinho’s plans for Chelsea, Terry added: “He wants us to play from the back and get the ball moving.
“Most importantly, we dropped too many points away from home last season to the lesser sides. We have to fight and want it more than them.
“We had plenty of possession and quality of play.”
Terry hailed Mourinho’s summer signings after impressive debuts for Costa and Fabregas.
“He has made some very good signing. Diego has come in and played great tonight,” Terry added.
“He got on the score sheet which was a great start for him as well. We’re hoping to win the league and that is our target this season.”
