Can Allardyce change Blackburn’s fortunes?

It took Blackburn Rovers just one day to secure themselves a new manager and as we know, ‘Big Sam’ is no stranger to the Premiership.
Paul Ince’s spell at the club has left Rovers in all sorts of trouble, sitting 19th in the table with just 13 points and three wins to their name.
It was always going to be a struggle to replace Mark Hughes – who’s summer move to Manchester City surprised many. He did a great job at the club and secured the club an impressive 7th place finish last season.
Sam Allardyce has been out of work since January when he was relieved of his duties after a dismal run at Newcastle. But if Blackburn are to escape the drop this year, he is surely the right man for the job, as his successful years at Bolton prove.
Blackburn’s next game is against Stoke City at Ewood Park on Saturday and the club made it clear after sacking Ince that they were looking to have a new boss in charge before the game.
Although Ince’s run of 17 league games at Blackburn is best forgotten, he appears to understand the basics of the game, as this genuine picture of his notes during a match demonstrates.
“For heaven’s sake, SHOOT!”
