CescFabregas insists he is ‘very happy’ at Arsenal
Arsenal skipper admits frustration at six-year trophy drought, but no decision has been made on his future

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas insists he is “very happy” at the club and has revealed that no decision has been made about his future.
The 24-year-old Spain midfielder continues to be linked with a return to his boyhood club, Barcelona, and Spanish media have reported that the La Liga champions would be willing to pay £35m to secureFabregas’s services for next season.
But whileFabregas admits he is frustrated by the six-year trophy drought at the Emirates, he says any decision about his future ultimately lies with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
“I am an Arsenal player,” saidFabregas. “I have been very happy for eight years and I am very happy. I am not thinking about football right now, just about my holidays.
“[At Arsenal] there is a good team and a good manager and one of the most faithful fan bases in Europe. With those I believe we can make progress and one day win an important trophy.
“A player who is not frustrated at not winning titles is either lying to himself or lacks ambition.
“There have been no decisions. The truth is that it doesn’t always depend on the player and at the moment I don’t know anything.
“He [Wenger] is the boss, the one who makes the decisions. You should ask him. I was injured at the end of the season and I haven’t seen him for about six weeks.”
abregas, who missed the final stages of last season through injury, dismissed talk of a move away from north London as speculation, but added that he can “never say never” regarding a possible transfer.
“I am very happy where I am,” he continued. “Anything else would be speculation that is untrue. You can never say never in this life as so many things happen that you can never predict.”
The midfielder’s latest link to the Camp Nou came after Barcelona skipper Carles Puyol revealed he was set for a holiday with team-mate Gerard Pique andFabregas on Twitter.
“Arrive tomorrow afternoon with @3gerardpique (Pique) and @cesc4official (abregas) in Ibiza. Oooooooh too much,” said Puyol.
Earlier, Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna admitted that there is a realistic chance thatFabregas could re-join the Catalan giants this summer.
Sagna said: “Compared to last year, yes it’s true there are chances of him leaving. Cesc needs to return to his country, to his home to rejoin his family.
“He needs to play for one of the best teams in the world which is Barcelona. One can understand that. But for the moment he’s still our captain at Arsenal.”
