Cesc Fabregas puts Arsenal before Chelsea
The Spaniard lists Arsenal ahead of Chelsea when asked what comes to his mind when he thinks of London
Cesc Fabregas has inadvertently revealed that his former club Arsenal come to his mind ahead of Chelsea.
The Spanish midfielder, who moved to the Stamford Bridge club from Barcelona last summer, has been one of the Premier League’s standout midfielders so far this season and has helped the Blues build a seven-point lead at the top of the table.
Speaking in a new PUMA video with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti, Fabregas was asked: “What comes to mind first when you think of London?”
“My family… Arsenal… Chelsea,” replied the 27-year-old Spain international.
Fabregas scored 35 goals in 212 Premier League appearances for Arsenal during his eight-year spell in north London before his eventual switch back to boyhood club Barcelona in the summer of 2011.
The midfielder has already notched up 11 assists and scored two goals in 22 Premier League games for Jose Mourinho’s men this term. He also scored twice in the Champions League group stage.
