Chelsea 1 Stoke 0: Jose Mourinho happy with last 16 draw
Chelsea 1 Stoke 0: Jose Mourinho insists the Blues will relish their fifth-round FA Cup tie at Manchester City
Jose Mourinho insisted that Chelsea will relish their trip to Manchester City in the FA Cup fifth round after watching his side progress to the last 16 thanks to victory over Stoke.
The Blues were handed a trip to Etihad Stadium next month, while Premier League leaders Arsenal were drawn at home to Liverpool.
Giving his reaction to the draw, Mourinho said: “No problem.
“If you want to be the best then you have to play the best, so it’s good for us. One team is the end product. One team needs to improve and has a long way to go.”
Oscar netted the only goal of the game against the Potters when the Brazilian midfielder curled home a delightful free-kick in the 27th minute at Stamford Bridge.
The important thing was to win and not replay because we don’t need an extra match

And Mourinho insisted that his side could have had plenty more goals due to the manner in which they “controlled” the game.
“We are playing well and the team is confident,” he added. “One-nil is short for the way we played and controlled the game. But the important thing was to win and not replay because we don’t need an extra match.”
Meanwhile, Stoke manager Mark Hughes preferred to look for the positives following his side’s defeat in west London.
“We couldn’t quite create enough clear openings,” said Hughes. “It was difficult for us but I’m pleased with what we did. We stuck at it and didn’t go under. I’d suggest there were more positives than negatives.”
