Matthew Upson raves about Chelsea star after 5-0 win over Stoke
Matthew Upson was very impressed by Willian's display in Chelsea's 5-0 win over Stoke on Saturday

Matthew Upson lavished praise on Willian following his sparkling display for Chelsea in their 5-0 win over Stoke City in the Premier League on Saturday.
Chelsea took the lead in just the third minute when Antonio Rudiger put Antonio Conte’s men ahead.
The Blues were soon 2-0 up after Danny Drinkwater fired home a second from 25 yards six minutes later.
Pedro Rodriguez then made it 3-0 before half-time, and Willian added further gloss to the scoreline when he netted his penalty in the 73rd minute.
Davide Zappacosta then netted late on to make it 5-0 to the home side.
Willian has been in good form for Chelsea so far this season despite being limited to just 11 starts under Conte.
However, former defender Upson believes that the Brazilian has been one of Chelsea’s top players in recent months.
Speaking on BBC Sport‘s Final Score during the game, Upson said: “I think Willian’s been one of Chelsea’s best today – but seeing Eden Hazard drop to the bench today – to be able to bring in Willian and Pedro is pretty good.
“Willian deserves to be in the starting XI every week, but it’s difficult for Antonio Conte with all the options he has in attack.”
Willian will be hoping that he has done enough to win another starting spot in the Chelsea side when the Blues return to Premier League action on Wednesday night with a crunch clash against Arsenal at The Emirates.
Chelsea’s win temporarily moved the west London side up into second place in the Premier League table ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Southampton later on Saturday evening.
