Frank Lampard tells Antonio Conte to start Chelsea FC star at FC Barcelona
The Chelsea FC legend believes Alvaro Morata should start against Barcelona at Camp Nou in the Champions League on Wednesday night

Frank Lampard believes Antonio Conte should select Alvaro Morata for Chelsea FC’s clash against Barcelona at Camp Nou on Wednesday night.
The Spain international was signed in a club-record £58m deal from La Liga giants Real Madrid in last summer’s transfer window.
Morata made an impressive start to his Blues career with nine goals in eight games in all competitions, including a hat-trick in a 4-0 win at Stoke City.
However, the 24-year-old’s goals have dried up in recent months and Morata hasn’t scored in his last 10 games in all competitions for Chelsea FC.
Morata was an 83rd-minute substitute in Chelsea FC’s 1-1 draw with La Liga giants Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash last month.
However, former Chelsea FC striker Lampard believes Morata merits a starting spot in Conte’s team for their trip to Barcelona at Camp Nou on Wednesday night.
“I would certainly consider picking Morata to lead the line with Eden Hazard and Willian behind,” Lampard told the Evening Standard.
Lampard added: “What Morata can also provide is a target for Chelsea players to aim at and someone who can run in behind. He can do that job more naturally than Hazard, who without the responsibility of playing up front can get more involved in the game himself.”
Chelsea FC are looking to win the Champions League for the first time since 2012 when the Blues beat Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich on penalties at the Allianz Arena.
The west London club have won the Premier League title in two of the past three seasons under the management of Jose Mourinho and then Antonio Conte.
