Jamie Carragher salutes Chelsea FC boss after Eden Hazard start
Jamie Carragher praises Maurizio Sarri for getting the best out of Eden Hazard at Chelsea FC this season
Jamie Carragher has credited Maurizio Sarri with getting the best out of Eden Hazard at Chelsea FC in the first few games of the new season.
Hazard has been one of the Premier League’s top players so far this term, with the Belgian playmaker having netted five goals and made two assists in the top flight for the Blues.
The 27-year-old struck a superb hat-trick as Chelsea FC claimed a 4-1 win over Cardiff City on Saturday to maintain their 100 per cent start to the new campaign and move up to the top of the table.
Hazard will be hoping to continue his form as the Blues look to try and mount a challenge for the Premier League title this season.
And Carragher feels that new Chelsea FC boss Sarri deserves credit for the way he has been handling Hazard in this early part of the new campaign.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Carragher said: “He’s been used really well by the manager.
“The great thing that I love and say about every top attacking player is they can’t be bullied, they can’t be knocked off the ball.
“Me as a defender thinks ‘can I get at him? Can I wind him up? Can I do this? Can I do that?’.
“No, he’s too strong.”
Chelsea FC will kick off their Europa League campaign on Thursday night when they take on PAOK away from home.
They will then turn their attentions back towards Premier League affairs and their trip to West Ham United on Saturday afternoon as they look to continue their solid start to the season.
