N’Golo Kante believes that Ruben Loftus-Cheek is ready to play for Chelsea FC this season under Maurizio Sarri.
The midfielder is currently getting used to life under new manager Sarri after he was brought in as Antonio Conte’s replacement at Stamford Bridge back in July.
Loftus-Cheek enjoyed a successful loan spell at Crystal Palace last season and his solid form earned him a call-up to the England squad for the World Cup in Russia.
The 22-year-old will now be hoping to force his way into first-team affairs at Chelsea FC this season, although he has so far only been limited to just two substitute appearances in the Premier League.
However, fellow midfielder Kante feels that Loftus-Cheek is now close to being able to hold down a regular spot in the first team at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, France midfielder Kante said: “When I came to Chelsea Ruben was already here and for sure he is a good player.
“Now he’s in the England squad. He did well last season at Crystal Palace and I think he’s ready to play.
“He’s played some good games and now it’s the manager’s decision. We all have the chance to be at Chelsea and to play with some of the best players in the league.
“We can all learn from that but he needs to keep working, to keep improving and I hope it will come at the right time.”
Kante will be expecting to start for Chelsea FC when the Blues host Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The west London side have won all four of their opening Premier League games so far this season to leave them as joint leaders alongside Liverpool FC.
