Sky Sports reporter delivers update on Callum Hudson-Odoi at Chelsea FC
Chelsea FC could reject Bayern's move for Callum Hudson-Odoi this month in the hope of convincing the forward to stay before the summer, according to Dharmesh Sheth

Chelsea FC could resist the temptation to sell Callum Hudson-Odoi in January and use the next five months to convince the teenager to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge, according to Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth.
The England Under-19 international has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich this month despite Hudson-Odoi being relatively untested at top-flight level in his fledgling career so far.
Hudson-Odoi has been the subject of a reported four bids from the Bundesliga champions and Bayern are thought to have met Chelsea FC’s £35m asking price with their latest offer for the talented forward.
A report in England last week claimed that the 19-year-old had turned down an eye-watering contract worth £85,000 a week at Stamford Bridge as Hudson-Odoi wants to move to the German side.
However, Sky Sports News reporter Sheth has suggested that Chelsea FC could hold onto Hudson-Odoi until the summer to give Sarri and the Blues board the chance to change the forward’s mind.
“We are told he will reject Chelsea’s offer of a new contract worth £85,000 a week,” Sheth told the Sky Sports Transfer Window podcast.
“Nothing has changed with Hudson-Odoi. We believe he wants to go to Bayern Munich. Since Bayern made their interest public, Chelsea and Sarri have gone on a charm offensive…
“Anything is possible but I think Chelsea will use the next five months to convince him to stay.
“He would have 12 months left on his deal and Chelsea could still demand quite a high fee. The big danger is [if] Hudson-Odoi decides to stay until the summer, hang around for a year and in January 2020 sign a pre-contract with Bayern and demand more money because there won’t be a transfer fee.
“Something will come to a head in the summer.”
Chelsea FC lost 2-0 to Arsenal in the London derby at the Emirates Stadium last weekend after goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny.
The Blues are only three points ahead of Arsenal and Manchester United after the chasing pack managed to erode the west London side’s cushion in fourth place.
