Eden Hazard names Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC stars among best Premier League players
The Chelsea FC star names the four best players in the Premier League, including N'Golo Kante and Mo Salah
Eden Hazard believes Chelsea FC team-mate N’Golo Kante, Liverpool FC forward Mohamed Salah and Manchester City duo Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne are the four best players in the Premier League.
The Belgium international has made a scintillating start to the Premier League campaign following an impressive return of seven goals in eight games in the English top flight.
Hazard is undoubtedly the Premier League’s in-form player after new Chelsea FC manager Maurizio Sarri gave his number 10 a new lease of life since his appointment in the summer.
The 27-year-old has won the PFA player of the year award after Hazard fired Chelsea FC to the Premier League title under Jose Mourinho in the 2015-16 season.
He missed out on winning the award for the second time when Kante was named the league’s best player by his fellow professionals after Antonio Conte led Chelsea FC to title glory in 2016-17.
Hazard played alongside De Bruyne and Salah for a brief spell at the west London side before the Egyptian winger secured a loan move to Fiorentina in 2014 and the Belgian playmaker moved to Wolfsburg 12 months later.
The Chelsea FC star has never played alongside Manchester City’s all-time record goal-scorer but Hazard appears to have admired the prolific Argentina international from afar.
The Blues talisman explained why he considers Aguero, De Bruyne, Kante and Salah to be the league’s best players.
“What for you is the best player?” Hazard told SPORTBible.
“Maybe for you it’s people who score more goals, another one is not thinking about that. At the moment I’m good – if I’m the best, fine, If I’m not I don’t care.
“In the Premier League we have a lot of top players. [Sergio] Aguero is one of the best, [Kevin] De Bruyne is injured but he’s one of the best.
“Mo Salah was the best last year, N’Golo [Kante] in the team is one of the best – so we have a lot of good players.”
Aguero is the second-highest foreign goal-scorer in Premier League history but the Argentinian forward should surpass Thierry Henry’s record tally of 175 goals.
The South American forward has netted 148 goals in 214 appearances in the English top flight since his move to Manchester City from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
Salah won the PFA award last term after Salah scored 43 times in all competitions, while De Bruyne finished behind the Liverpool FC star in the PFA stakes.
