Eden Hazard has hinted that Antonio Conte got his tactics wrong in Chelsea FC’s 1-0 loss at Manchester City on Sunday.
The Blues made the long trip to Manchester in search of their first victory in three attempts following a stalemate with Barcelona and a loss at Manchester United.
The defending Premier League champions adopted a negative approach to their trip to the Premier League leaders Manchester City.
The Citizens eased to a 1-0 win courtesy of Bernardo Silva’s first-half winner at the Etihad Stadium to condemn Chelsea FC to successive Premier League defeats.
Hazard touched the ball a mere 32 times, while Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan had 181 touches during the Premier League clash.
Conte is coming under increasing pressure at Stamford Bridge following his disappointing start to 2018 so far after a return of four victories in 15 games.
Chelsea FC number 10 Hazard wasn’t impressed with Chelsea FC’s approach to the Premier League clash at Manchester City on Sunday.
“I had the feeling that I’d ran, but that I hadn’t played a game of football. That’s a pity,” Hazard is quoted as saying by Metro.
“We could have played on for three hours, but I wouldn’t touch a ball. It only went better at the end of the game.”
Chelsea FC won the Premier League title with two games to spare last term after the Blues finished seven points clear of their closest challengers Tottenham Hotspur.
Hazard netted 16 times in their title-winning campaign to help Chelsea FC win their second title in three seasons.
