Jamie Carragher sends warning to Chelsea FC about top-four aspirations
The Liverpool FC legend believes Chelsea FC are in a vital period in their Premier League campaign

Jamie Carragher believes Chelsea FC’s coming games will dictate where the defending champions finish in the top-four race.
The defending Premier League champions lost 2-1 to Manchester United at Old Trafford in the English top flight on Sunday.
Chelsea FC missed out on the chance to draw level with Manchester United and were left in fifth spot.
Indeed, Antonio Conte’s men are two points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur in pursuit of a Champions League spot.
Chelsea FC’s fixture list didn’t get any easier for the defending champions after a 1-0 loss to Manchester City on Sunday evening.
The Blues have a difficult trip to Burnley next up before a home clash against fourth-placed Spurs at Stamford Bridge on 18 March.
The Blues will also taken on La Liga side Barcelona in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash in March after a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Former Liverpool FC defender Carragher has issued a stern warning to Chelsea FC about their top-four challenge.
“The problem Chelsea have got is in the next three games, they’ve got Man City away and Tottenham are in there as well,” Carragher told Sky Sports ahead of their 1-0 loss at The Etihad.
“If those games don’t go well, Liverpool or Man United could actually create a gap where with six or seven games to go, it’s actually too much.
“So they’ve got to do well in these next three games.”
Chelsea FC have won the Premier League title in two of the past three seasons under Jose Mourinho and then Conte.
The Blues were held to a 1-1 draw with Barcelona after Lionel Messi cancelled out Willian’s opener.
