The Sun is reporting that Lampard is seriously considering using the England international as a striker when Loftus-Cheek returns from injury.
The same article states that former Chelsea FC boss Antonio Conte had also toyed with the possibility of using Loftus-Cheek up front.
According to the same story, Lampard has been forced to consider his striking options following the slow start to the season for Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham.
