Ian Wright makes Chelsea FC prediction about 21-year-old
Arsenal legend Ian Wright is backing Chelsea FC striker Tammy Abraham to flourish

Ian Wright is backing Tammy Abraham to continue to score goals for Chelsea FC as long as his confidence is high.
The England Under-21 international repaid Frank Lampard’s faith in the striker with two goals in Chelsea FC’s 3-2 victory over Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday.
The Blues forward failed to get on the score-sheet in the west London side’s losses to Manchester United and Liverpool FC in their opening two competitive games of the season.
Abraham drew a blank against Leicester City in a 1-1 stalemate with Stamford Bridge in the Premier League last weekend.
The 21-year-old broke the deadlock in the third minute at Carrow Road before Abraham netted the winner in the 68th minute to secure a 3-2 victory.
Abraham’s goal heroics helped Lampard to record his first Premier League victory as the club’s manager.
Former Arsenal striker Wright delivered a positive verdict on Chelsea FC striker Abraham.
“He is somebody who has been around but it’s been a long way to get to the Chelsea first team,” Wright told Match of the Day.
“That number nine shirt is very heavy and we’ve seen that with some of the strikers in years gone by but the faith his manager has shown in him, he repaid that today.
“A lot of people were talking about the hold up play and that Giroud should be playing because he’s not getting the play with him but he did that brilliantly today. His first goal was brilliant, composed, kept it down, it was perfect.
“He can come towards the play and he can go long, that’s something Giroud doesn’t give them. Some of the stuff Tammy does, Giroud can’t do. As long as his confidence stays up, he’ll score goals.”
Abraham scored five goals during a season-long loan at Swansea City last season.
Chelsea FC appointed Lampard as their new manager following Maurizio Sarri’s departure in the summer.
The Blues will welcome Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea FC are in twelfth position in the Premier League table.
