Ian Wright raves about ‘brilliant’ Chelsea FC star
The Arsenal legend singles out Willian for special praise after his recent Chelsea FC performances

Ian Wright has admitted that he has been impressed with Willian’s sparkling performances for Chelsea FC this season.
The Brazil international has struggled to tie down a regular starting spot in the Chelsea FC team since Antonio Conte’s appointment in 2016.
However, Alvaro Morata’s well-documented struggles in recent months have given Willian a chance to shine in the Blues team.
Willian was Chelsea FC’s best player in a 1-1 draw with FC Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash after he hit the woodwork twice before breaking the deadlock at Stamford Bridge.
The 29-year-old has scored five goals and has made one assist in his last 10 appearances in all competitions to help Chelsea FC reach the FA Cup semi-finals.
Willian was linked with a potential move to bitter rivals Manchester United earlier this season but the South American forward appears to have reignited his Chelsea FC career.
Former Arsenal striker Wright admitted that he has been impressed with Willian’s performances in recent months.
“He’s been brilliant,” Wright told BT Sport.
“I think he’s been involved in the last 18 or 19 goals for Chelsea. He put Morata in [against Leicester in the FA Cup] and for somebody who’s not scored since Boxing Day, it was a super finish.”
Willian has scored six goals and has made six assists in 29 appearances in the Premier League this term.
Chelsea FC won the Premier League title with two games to spare last term.
