Daniel Sturridge has urged his Liverpool FC team-mates to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Chelsea FC when the two sides meet in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

The England international got on the score sheet in the League Cup mid-week before goals from Emerson Palmieri and Eden Hazard turned the cup tie on its head.

FA Cup holders Chelsea FC dropped down to third place in the Premier League table last weekend following a goalless draw with West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Liverpool FC are sitting at the top of the Premier League table and two points ahead of second place Manchester City and third spot Chelsea FC in the title race.

England star Sturridge, who moved to Liverpool FC from Chelsea FC in a £12m deal in 2013, is optimistic that the Reds can bounce back from their Carabao Cup exit.

Sturridge wrote on Twitter: “Bittersweet. Tomorrow we go again. Big tings a gwan!! Let’s go!!”

Liverpool FC finished in fourth spot in successive seasons under Jurgen Klopp but the German head coach still hasn’t won a trophy since taking over the reins from Brendan Rodgers in October 2015.

The Merseyside outfit have beaten West Ham, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Leicester City, Spurs and Southampton in the current campaign.
